This short-sleeved sweater was another piece I received from my swap club (of 2). I almost love it as much as the corduroy dress.
Patti @ Not Dead Yet Style recently talked about fashion "rules" as they pertain to age and I'd like to start the conversation here. I felt super cute in this outfit, but I worried that I'm too old to wear short skirts like this. Then I think "f*ck that! I'll wear what I want!". It's a constant battle in my head. (Very noisy, you don't want to be there. Trust me.)
What do you think? Do you live by these fashion "rules" or do you ignore them? Do you have your own set of "rules" you follow or expect others to follow?
Cute outfit and the skirt is totally flattering! I find myself wearing more knee length skirts then ever before but that might just be a lifestyle shift. Now that I'm in the office all the time I have good reasons to wear longer skirts. I haven't retired all my mini skirts yet though!

DeleteLove this outfit, and I especially love your hair. I don't have the age worries, probably because I dress older than my age, but I do constantly battle about how to dress as a college instructor. I feel like if I worked at a city university (like I attended), I'd feel free to dress my age, but I'm working at a community college in the country, and everyone dresses like a traditional, "serious" teacher. No fun.
ReplyDeleteI had just bleached it the night before and had finally achieved the perfect color that I had been wanting, so thanks for noticing. Boo, I think you should just dress your age and be the oddball. Nothing wrong with standing out!
DeleteRules! Bah! Wear what you love, how you love it and what makes you feel good. I'm 32 and everyone thinks I'm 22 because of the way I dress. I can't help it that everything I love it trendy now!!!!! You look awesome!
